| Congratulations to ARTIS Gallery artists Matthew Browne and Roy Good, selected finalists in the 20th Wallace Art Awards.
The Annual Wallace Awards aim to support, promote and expose New Zealand contemporary art and artists.
James Wallace established the Annual Wallace Art Awards 20 years ago. These awards are now the longest surviving and largest annual art awards of their kind in New Zealand, with a value amounting to over $165,000. The four winners receive valuable residencies at prestigious institutions. Many of the winners and finalists of the Awards are purchased by the Trust each year to add to the Collection.
The Awards will be announced and presented on Monday 5 September at 6pm at The Pah Homestead,TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre with the finalists on show from 6 September to 16 October; after which it will travel to TheDowse in Lower Hutt from 29 October to 4 December. |
