Congratulations Matthew Browne for winning a Merit Award at the The New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Awards.
This years awards were judged by well known writer and lecturer on New Zealand art history, Dr Robin Woodward. 280 works were submitted, with 50 finalists selected. In a floortalk before the awards, Dr Woodward expressed her delight in the breadth and quality of the works submitted for the 9th NZPPA. The show she has curated is a “representative selection from a panorama of submissions” and the 50 finalists include a range of media and subject matter.
