NZ Sculpture OnShore is a biennial exhibition of the work of major New Zealand Sculptors to raise money for the Women's Refuge. We are pleased to announce the participation of Artis Gallery represented sculptors, Neil Miller and John Edgar, in this event.
Works
are displayed at the Fort Takapuna Historic Reserve, a magnificent
cliff top site overlooking the Hauraki Gulf at Devonport. The works of
over 100 New Zealand artists are on public view and for sale during the
10 day exhibition.
New Zealand Sculpture OnShore has become an
iconic event for North Shore City. It is one of New Zealands largest
outdoor sculpture exhibition and a major fixture on the country's arts
scene. The sculpture exhibition's purpose of raising funds for
the support of Women's Refuges adds an extra dimension to the event's
importance. NZ Sculpture OnShore 2006 resulted in a record donation of
$300,000 to the National Collective of Independent Women's Refuges of
New Zealand.
